My little angel knows how to give his old man a cramp

Thursday, November 10th, 2011

He slept after a lot of yoodling. I didn’t want to wake him up. I held that position I am sitting in for around 3 hours. I ended up with a cramp. But was happy he had a nice sleep. I just love it when he sleeps like that holding me tight. I feel like a dad.

Just another rainy weekend afternoon with my son

Thursday, November 10th, 2011

It was a weekend afternoon, and it was raining every now and then. This was for a brief moment when the rains had stopped. We both sat down on the bay window ground floor. We talked a lot, about a lot of things. And he in his cute little googles and koos and kaas and aaas, explained to me how to hold time still, even if just a few hours. Well I call this our first father and son quality time.

Friday, November 4th, 2011

He sleeps like an angel when I am holding him tight in my arms. Sleep him down and you will have a crying complaining little devil.

Sunday, June 5th, 2011

And, yesterday, a fine sunny Saturday Afternoon, just after a freshening bangaloean downpour, that left with a beautiful rainbow.

He arrived. And my whole world stopped spinning for a moment, and then it started spinning in a whole new way that was unknown to me. He changed my life. I finally realized my destination has arrived. Friends who know the nomadic me, I am settled down now.

I give you the future lion king.

Finally got myself a new phone. It’s a HTC incredible s. For those who knew my old phone and so lovingly called it “the brick”, its still alive and kicking a***z. It was an at&t HTC 8525 with an extended 3000 mah battery. Bought 4 years ago. But it has become too cumbersome to carry as per the modern world definition of sleek and needy. Sad but true. For 4 long years it has been a trusty and hardy companion. We have been through lot together. It has survived being dropped from 3rd.floor, dropped into a bucket of water and many such unfortunate incidents. But it never gave up on me. Ever. It was, is and always will be my first pda. It has helped me organise my life for so long, not to mention our secret adventures in the hacking world. Currently my old friend is being promoted to serve as communication center for my home automation system. For all calls and messaging services. I couldn’t have found a more reliable person for the job.

I will post more about my adventures with my new incredible and my first experience with android in future posts.

Organic terrace vegetable garden for my house

Friday, December 31st, 2010

I like this. Exactly what I have been looking for. You see, since quite some time, I have been wondering of starting an organic, vertical garden, when I move into my own house. And I have been wondering where I could get the right information and help to be able to do this. Now these people sound promising. iGROW – Terrace & Balconies – Initiatives – Purna Organics

Devil visits house

Monday, December 13th, 2010

Last friday the devil came home:-) .. just something I picked up waiting at NGEF traffic junction. I actually decided to wear that through the rest of the ride home. It being dark inside the car, gave quite a shock to some passer by’s. I remember this one women who was driving in a WagonR, I could see the shock on on her face, it was funny, she tried following me to see if it was real! Hehe…

House construction work started!

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

Ah finally!!! House construction work started. Last Friday, November 26th 2010, I did by bhoomi puja and started the work. As of now, the digging is finished, waiting for the house loan to be reimbursed by bank. This should happen by the end of this week. After that the house work will start full fledged.

People are right about the pains involved in building a house. Everything about such a project is time consuming and frustrating. Starting from finding the property to construction of house to latter maintenance. But  I disagree that its different between buying a flat and a house. From my experiences, they are both equally back-breaking. Only, in building a house, you have material returns for your pains.

I will keep posting more details on how and what I have gone through until now.

Mysore trip on 3rd july

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

WOW! what a trip. Actually it all started as a trip to attend Ravi’s marriege.  But somewhere it became much more than that. His marriege was on sunday morning. We started on Saturday morning itself :-). Here goes the story .

Although we had planned to start at 6 am in the morning. We could only start at 8am on saturday, thanks to my beauty sleep. Kuni on the other hand had woken up early morning and had prepared Puri & curry for the way.

The puri and the curry
Oh she was soooo planned for a picnic trip :-). For her the whole trip was for the picnic. She was all head over toes for the trip to start. I quickly cached the google map and directions. Checked all my gadgets were charged, double checked my GPS, my chargers and my bluetooth were in the package. Then loaded all into the car and we were all set to go :-).

There were quite a few moments on the roads. Once we started on mysore road, the first stop was at maddur for break fast. We had famous madur bada of the “HOP” Fame. The we drove to Shivanasamudram. But after travelling all the way there we found out the water had dried up. Imagine a waterfall without water, Yeah, I felt the same.

So we travelled a little more ahead to Barachuki falls, where thankfully the water fall was operational still ;-). After that we started travelling back towards mysore. But on the way we found this beautiful spot for our lunch a Picnic. Yeah the one Kuni had been waiting for so eagerly. It surprisingly turned out to be fun, real fun. The picnic spot was by the river, and we actually had our lunch on a small island surrounded by water and “FISH”, ya a lot of them, swarming all around in the water. We had our puri and curry there. And we also fed the fish, the moment you threw a morsel of puri into the water, you could see the fish attacking it with all aggression. It was a fun sight, Kuni was all about feeding the fish then feeding herself. After lunch we walked around and took some more snaps. And then we started for Mysore, it was already raining, and the journey was mindblowingly beautiful and romantic.

Here is the slide show. Alternatively you can visit my albums page to have a look at all the pictures.
